VR draws crowds in Los Angeles
It’s time to call it– 2017 is the year of Virtual Reality. With VRLA Expo coming fast, we’ve seen a massive uptick in public interest in VR events, space, and technology. Lets do a quick run-down of the rise of Los Angeles as a VR hotspot;
VRLA Expo will be setting the stage for an explosion of interest in VR with a takeover of LA convention center’s largest space from April 14-15. Featuring developers, reporters, and gamers alike, the event is touted as the world’s largest Virtual Reality expo. We’re expecting amazing sights and tech to offer lasting impressions to Angelinos, leaving them ready to jump into VR again soon.
Upload VR, a premiere VR media outlet, will be launching an office and coworking space in Marina Del Rey come April. The location will boast 20,000 sq ft of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality ventures, all looking toward the future of the industry.
Meanwhile, all over LA county and beyond, Blue Door VR and Exit Reality are offering premium virtual reality experiences on the go. Exit Reality, a Bay Area based company, are visiting SoCal for the month around VRLA Expo, providing public demonstrations in key locations. Locally, Blue Door VR is celebrating their launch as a personalized event service, bringing virtual reality into parties, weddings, and conferences.
